Fall is here! Let’s Simplify
This applies in two general ways:
1. Mental Clarity in Mindful Actions: Our lives are full, active and involve many considerations & decisions. Learning to choose when to zoom into detail and when to zoom out to a panoramic view is a life skill worth practicing. Learning how to simplify by understanding your true choices & their trajectory.
2. Non-Neediness / Greedlessness in Thoughts & Items (Yama: Aparigraha): the ability to not gather unnecessary thoughts within you or things around you…wanting only what you need and keeping only what you need.
Simply Practice Contentment (Niyamas: Santosha). If we can recognize that contentment is available to us, that we can choose it as a life quality within us, then we will see that we have choices in how we think and act. Yoga involves the skill transcending the fluctuations of the mind. Learning to simplify can help us stop the mind-cycles of over consideration or desires for external things.
Peace and happiness within.
