Welcome to NOW. Oh, I am excited. What a ride! We spin, the moon spins, clinging to our star, we are all in motion. Can you feel the arrival of our solar celebration? The earth is rotating at more than 1000 miles an hour and 37,000 miles per hour around our sol/sun! I remember my friend Patty’s words in the last month of her life: “I am not afraid of dying; it is just that I have enjoyed living so much.” She is so right. What a gift it is to be alive.
Today marks the beginning of a new year in the Jewish calendar. It is an ancient lunar calendar honoring the year 5772. For those of you celebrating, Happy Rosh HaShanah! (Hebrew for Happy New Year.) The traditional celebration is practiced with joy & reflection. It is a time to face the imperfections of our thoughts and action over the past year, along with recognition of our highest potentials.

Last night we had an amazing practice. It is both wonderful and without surprise that when we gather to practice Lila Yoga, we strengthen not only our individual self but a collective strength that supports and nourishes a pure so golden that it marvels each of us and rocks us into a deeper knowing. We are in awe and our breath is not taken away. Wow, I do love yogic journeys.
