My initial exposure to yoga was to the physical practice. I enjoyed how different yoga was from other exercise routines I tried. In college, I took a yoga class for credit and was formally introduced to different types of yoga. I came to learn that the physical practice is only a small part of what yoga can offer. As a busy student, I was happy to learn that yoga could build strength in my body and mind. Committed and comprehensive yoga practice has helped me take my yoga powers out of the studio and bring balance to my life.
I earned my RYT-200 with Erica Kaufman at Lila Yoga Studios in January 2018. I am fascinated by the more disciplined practices central to pranayama (breathing techniques) and meditation, but I also love a good dance party and to incorporate play into my classes.
